Become a concert sponsor

In 2007, the City of Racine and the Racine Concert Band agreed to a Public-Private partnership in which the band became an independent Non-Profit Organization, subsidized by City of Racine funding and in-kind services.

In recent years, the municipal budget has been under extreme duress, as tax revenues and government revenue sharing dollars are not adequate to support non-essential services. While the partnership continues to be highly successful, decreases in the subsidy and the withdrawal of city services have challenged the band to keep pace with the inevitable rising costs of presenting high quality performances. The challenge of fulfilling our mission has become more difficult, as the percentage of the band budget funded by the City of Racine has fallen from 92% to 34%.

Racine business advertisers and private donors have stepped up, allowing the band to both survive and thrive in the current environment.

The band now also relies on Concert Sponsors to bridge the funding gap needed to continue these popular concerts and civic events. $2,500 sponsorships are recognized with an ad in the printed program, on-stage and Zoo entrance signage, and a series of in-concert promos, read by Master of Ceremonies, Don Rosen.
